The Vancouver timber exporting company Evans, Coleman and Evans maintained a sawmill, warehouse and export facility on the north side of the Inner Harbour just north of today’s Ship’s Point as seen mid-right in the image. The company was a member of the Shipping Federation of British Columbia, a large corporation established by an amalgamation of railway, stevedoring, and storage companies
