pink dishrack

In the early days there were only three float homes at West Bay Marina. The marina office staff sorted their mail and placed it in the slots of a pink dish rack. When the live-aboards arrived home they would go into the office pick up their mail. When people wanted to know how to address mail to the resident of one particular float home, he said, “Oh, just send to me c/o The Pink Dishrack, West Bay Marina, Head Street, etc.” so, not knowing the marina’s mail sorting solution, people began to think The Pink Dishrack was the name of his float home. So, that is how The Pink Dishrack got her name.
